Whois Lookup

Look up domain and IP registration information using public RDAP APIs. View registrar, dates, nameservers, and network details.

Try Whois Lookup →

What It Does

The Whois / RDAP Lookup queries public RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) endpoints to retrieve registration information for domains and IP addresses. For domains, it shows registrar, registration/expiration dates, nameservers, and status. For IPs, it shows the network name, CIDR block, range, country, and organization.

How to Use It

  1. Navigate to Diagnostics → Whois Lookup from the top menu.
  2. Enter a domain name (e.g., example.com) or IP address (e.g., 8.8.8.8).
  3. Click Lookup or press Enter.
  4. View registration details in the results grid.
  5. Use Copy All or Download .txt to export.

Domain vs IP Lookups

  • Domain: Shows registrar, registration date, expiration date, nameservers, status codes, and whois server.
  • IP Address: Shows network name, CIDR block, IP range, country, organization, abuse contact, and allocation dates.

The tool auto-detects whether your input is a domain or IP and queries the appropriate RDAP endpoint.

Use Cases

  • Domain research: Check when a domain was registered or when it expires.
  • IP investigation: Identify who owns an IP block during incident response.
  • Abuse reporting: Find the correct abuse contact for a network.
  • Vendor vetting: Check domain age and registrar for trust assessment.
